Emailing Dynamics AX (Axapta) reports

Dynamics AX provides the ability to send any report as an email attachment instead of printing it. The attachment can be a PDF, RTF, HTML or plain text file.
However, sending reports is not easy if Lotus Notes is the email client of your choice. There's a solution that doesn't require an email client, and therefore works no matter what kind of e-mail software is installed. Dynamics AX sends e-mails directly to the SMTP server.
Documents such as confirmations or invoices can be sent via email without typing in an email address, by using the "direct-email" feature.
